Trinity College to introduce Indian examiners for GESE, Business Line, 15 April 2008

Our Bureau, Hyderabad, April 14

The Trinity College, London, will be introducing Indian examiners in its Graded Examination in Spoken English (GESE) soon.

The Trinity College had been conducting GESE in India in association with Orient Longman since 2004 with British examiners.

With the growing interest among the school children in GESE, it had been decided to introduce Indian examiners for the three grades of exams being conducted in India every month, except January and December, Mr Euan Michael Ross Geddes, Chairman, Trinity College, told newspersons here on Monday. The introduction of Indian examiners would also bring down the examination fee from over Rs 1,800 to Rs 650-1,200, Mr J. Amey, Chief Executive of Trinity College, said.
